Dear Ryzers,

A looong list of some of the priorities of such a taskforce, I would say this is the partial list, there is more to be added by other fellow ryzers

Corruption
**********
Those who have stayed in chennai do know it very well, though we claim to have great government, the amount of corruption is horrible, and has infact increased with each regime.

Transparency
************
The right to information act - is a good beginning., but its got a long way to go. All government offices, partial government and private sector mus be greatly transparent

The invasion of our "GREAT CULTURE" - as said by our
***********************************
politicians and cops - People who talk about our culture ride around in Pajeros, the cops in Suzukis. It is right ful to feel proud about our culture, but stupid to be stuck in the past. police interrupting private parties, the chanceller goes beyond his work scope and declares new dress code in college. Lets get serious, if we talk about preserving our culture, not succumbing to foreign culture, we shouldnt be watching TV, using cars that we use, the IT industry that brings in so much of money, the industrialization that was introduced all these were not originally born in India.

This attitude sends some serious wrong signals to people. Yes, those who want to dress well, let them dress well, but partying taboo in our city !!..this is crazy. Today's tough life and stress, demands good relaxation and enjoyment and i dont know why this has become a problem for our police and the politicians.

Removal of the unnecessary powers of the police
***********************************************
give people a chance to 'vote' for their own issues, elect rightful ocps - we're having curfew everyday night. Every day when i go back late, i have people blow into their smelly faces - who has given the right to such weird acts ?. Who has given the police such high handed ness. In a functioning democracy like ours - im surprised few question this. When you're a victim of the khaki men thou shall know ;-)

Improvement of Infastructure
****************************
What can be said., there is just too much left to be done on this part. Building techpark solves a part of the problem. But the roads need drains, piped water connection - can you believe it,we still pump drinking water in the 21st century in madras city :-)

Making the public, government servants and the private
*******************************************************
sector accountable - everyone in this city, state and the contry must be accounted for,a man eating pan parag spits and gets away without even anyone raising an eye. educated people like us behave like a bunch of uncivilized people on the road and create such a havoc ? everyday.
Don't they know their duty as citizens. The private sector must also not just complain, but clearly identify their social responsibilities and come forward publicly to offer assistance. The government must have a defined financial targets to achieve, they should focus on making money through proper ways such as creating newer PSU's, disinvesting in older ones and creating a revenue chain that will sustain the government. An eg of this is singapore's Temasek holdings, government owned but run as if a private entity is quite an active entity in building the infrastructure of that state. similar organization exists ( i dont think i know the name ) but i don't think they're responding fast enough.

Removal of Labour protection, Reform
************************************
and so much more !
