You are perfectly right, Lavanya. It is cold out here in this Ryze Network.

I have become a bit tied up with my projects that take me out of Chennai many a time. And I become unavailable on many Sundays and that is the point.

As I have been observing in my earlier postings, I am neither able to spot out a few on-line activists who have a need to involve themselves in physical participation to "make Chennai a better place to live in", notwithstanding all limitations.

May be, I will try to meet a few individually and decide the fate of this WCFC network soon.

Till then, Cheers,

Govind Srinivasan

My geography knowledge tells me that
Chennai will get some rains in the next
three or four months or so.

Govind start with a simple program
like "Tree Plantation."

It will serve you well because:-
1. It is non controversial.
2. No politician or bureaucrat will oppose you for this.
3. It needs very little money to start initially.
4. It will bring people together on a specific date and time.
5. The photographs will be attractive for the local press to carry and thereby generate support for your group.
6. Inviting the Police Commissioner and District Collector will add credibility to your group.
7. It will leave an imprint on the cityscape which will remind people about your group and help them to support you in the long term.
8. You can harness youth power by involving children and making it a warm family activity.

Through the program when people get to know each other in person they will start thinking of expanding the Common Minimum Program by adding new initiatives.

I thank LK(g) for taking the lead and stirring the pot.
I eagerly await news of how the khichdi turns out.

If you need to know what trees are best for what area and climate ask LK(g). She will search it out from the archives
of this board or access it from the Pathway Inc Knowledge Foundation Chennai Chapter Library.

This is a great idea which can be performed without much hassles. Govind.. Lalitha Subramaniam one of the ryze member who is also a great friend of mine has also shown some interest in this issue. I have asked her to join this board and I will pm you her contact details so that she can also be involved. She is an active ryzer who would like to do something for the place we live in.

Soeb Fatehi...

When I saw your message on the board only one line of the song came to my mind..

'Aap aaye bahaar aaye'

And Govind..yes it is a great idea.. I mean about the 'Planting of saplings'..We will plan out something and I am sure Mr. Ram Ramasundaram, CMD TNPL can be requested to take some active part when he is in town..Please call for a meeting this saturday or sunday and we had some postings earlier on this issue and we can very well use them..Harish..Come out of the honeymoon fanda and start doing something for the city we live in..Gokulram. i think you will be able to give your time too.. Likewise Sharada, Kanchana, sushi, Charuhasan... all can give some time for this..Govind please organise for a small get together either this saturday/sunday..

Long live Soeb Fatehi who is our mentor and guide.

Long live WCFC..

I am so happy that there is such a frenzy of activity that this network (WCFC) is logging now. I am also eager to do my best in launching the idea that Soeb had given now - the "Tree Planting".

As I said, I become occupied on quiet a few Sundays, now and then, courtesy my work. I am an INFORMATION SECURITY CONSULTANT. This is my profession. I also run my business that has a focus in IT INFRASTRUCTURE SKILLS RECRUITING & STAFFING, IT INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITY MGT. SERVICES, etc.

I may not be able to make myself available the coming Saturday or Sunday. But I strongly feel that the rest of the WCFCians should definitely meet and deliberate on plans of action, including the "Tree Planting" idea.

I request Harish, Sushi, Shar, Gokulram, Karthik and many other active members to co-ordinate and decide the forthcoming meeting venue, date and time. Count on me for the post-meeting activities this time. I will come to know of the actions planned from any one of you.

Soeb - You are making this happen. Thanks a lot!

Cheers!

I think this will motivate the public for the tree planting program.

Plant a tree for your Star & Planet

Do you suffer from the ill effects of dhoshams in your star or rasi ? Do you Struggle to find out a right pariharam for this dhoshams ? leave your worries with us. Just find out a appropriate tree for your star and rasi and start growing it. This will rectify all dhoshams.

Origin of trees are Known well before the presence of mankind. It is believed that like humans trees also posses peculiar tendencies. It is said in the Vedas that, when one encounters serious problems, it is wiser to find out an appropriate tree for his rasi and star and growing them will reduce the intensity of the problem.
